Part of A.R.T., Inc.'s mission is reaching out to the community at all age levels and increasing awareness of the place of the visual arts in enriching life.

A.R.T., Inc. provides financial support to the Adobe Gallery and its programs.

"Global Transfiguration," a multimedia piece by Kathleen T. Ball, was chosen to represent A.R.T., Inc. in the Global Art Project for Peace.  This work, along with the winning group entry, "Imagine Peace," will be exchanged with another art organization from somewhere around the world in 2012 as a means of promoting peace through art.

"Imagine Peace" was created by Jodie Gordon, Peggy Harris, Barry Miller, Jan Moulton, Peg Robinson, and Winda Shimizu.

Honorable Mentions in the exhibit went to Eva Best for "Cradled Light" and Christa Schanda for "Patriotism."

Adobe Gallery goers investigate the two-sided wood figures of the Global Art Project for Peace installation in the exhibit which can be seen in the Adobe Gallery through August 16.
