Artist Richard Geiger normally works in watercolors and acrylics on canvas. His watercolors are usually representational, and in a maritime theme. The acrylics are primarily abstract.
BUT this online exhibit includes various three-dimensional constructions, often of wood and found objects. Several have never been on public display. They are quite diverse and unusual and reflect fits of unbridled creativity. He cannot say they have all been received favorably! Well, variety is the spice of life, they say.
Richard Geiger received a bachelor’s in art from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In addition, he holds a master’s in library and information science from UCLA. His professional career was in librarianship and journalism. Since retirement, he has renewed his interest in making art.
