My goal in creating artwork is to evoke a joyful response in the viewer. I love the excitement of bright colors. I often use water repellant yupo paper to ensure colors are vibrant and engaging.
Do not despair for we are strong and will persevere. I employ the sun as a metaphor for a brighter future as we continue to live on the edge.
My artwork tends towards abstraction. I use the intensity of color and big shapes to draw viewers to my artwork.
I use a variety of media including oil, pastel, watercolor, natural and manmade materials. I often mix media to mimic the complexity and randomness of nature. I enjoy photographing nature and people.
